File and Folder Paths
Paths describe location
Section titled “Paths describe location”Microsoft Graph supports addressing drive items by their IDs or by paths. A path changes when a file or its parent folder moves or is renamed; an ID can continue to identify the item within its drive.
For the platform model and encoding rules, see addressing drive items.
Product path format requires confirmation
Section titled “Product path format requires confirmation”Do not assume the action expects a full URL, a Graph endpoint, a library-relative path, or a leading slash. The installed action’s field definition must determine the format.
Planning example
Section titled “Planning example”Clients/Example Client/Brief.pdf is a fictional planning path. It is not a confirmed input syntax. Define naming rules and test spaces, reserved characters, and missing parent folders using the supported action before deploying.
