Item IDs

A Microsoft Graph driveItem can represent a file or folder. Its identifier is used with the drive context. Do not confuse a Drive ID, item ID, SharePoint site ID, or browser URL.

Labels such as File ID and Folder ID must be checked against the installed action’s field definition. Do not assume they mean a Graph Item ID, a SharePoint list-item ID, or a path. A Site ID identifies a site context, not its document library. A SharePoint URL is a link, not a substitute for any of these identifiers.

See the driveItem resource reference.

When recording an item ID, also record which approved drive it belongs to. If a later workflow step requires an item ID, confirm that the preceding action exposes it.

The field name, returned shape, and behavior across moves or copies must be verified for each product action. Never invent an output field by copying a raw Microsoft Graph response.
