Sites.Selected
What Sites.Selected means
Section titled “What Sites.Selected means”Sites.Selected is Microsoft’s site-collection-level Selected permission. It can apply to delegated or application access. Its presence in this documentation does not establish which mode the Merxence product supports.
Consent is only one step
Section titled “Consent is only one step”Selected access requires consent, a separate assignment on the target resource, and a token containing the appropriate permission. Consenting Sites.Selected alone does not grant the application access to a SharePoint site.
Check the access boundary
Section titled “Check the access boundary”A site-level assignment is not a per-library restriction. Review all libraries in the selected site when assessing the application’s access. Choose the assigned role from the verified operation requirements; this guide does not prescribe a product role.
See Microsoft’s Selected permissions overview for the platform model.
Product confirmation needed
Section titled “Product confirmation needed”Confirm whether the product’s endpoints work with Sites.Selected, which mode it uses, and which roles each action needs. Do not add tenant-wide permissions simply because site access has not been configured.
Next: grant site access. For a 403, use permission troubleshooting.
